REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, BALIKPAPAN -- Minister of state-owned enterprises, Erick Thohir, saw firsthand the readiness of state-owned enterprises to supply energy needs, both electricity and gas to government offices in the Archipelago State Capital (IKN). Erick also checked the preparedness of state companies in fulfilling various key support facilities for the implementation of the 79th Independence Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia on August 17, 2024 at IKN.
He reviewed the finalization of various facilities built and prepared by SOEs in IKN, East Kalimantan, on Saturday (29/6/2024). During the visit, Erick was accompanied by Wamen BUMN, Kartika Wirjoatmodjo, Secretary of the Ministry of SOE, Rabin Hattari and several Managing Directors of SOEs.
Erick said the important assignments given by President Joko Widodo to Ministries and state-owned enterprises to prepare various important and key facilities for government offices in IKN, have so far been processed according to schedule. “Starting from the Presidential Palace, home of the ministerial office, to the offices of the coordinating ministries 3 and 4 have been supplied with electricity from the PLTS and gas networks,” said Erick Thohir of IKN, in a press release.
He added that similar preparedness is also intended specifically to welcome the implementation of the 79th Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia which was the first time at IKN. In a full-day review at IKN, the SOE Ministry group visited several locations. There is a Solar Power Plant (PLTS), PSSI Training Center, Menteri Rumah Tapak Babatan Menteri (RTJM), and the Presidential Palace, also a field in front of the Palace that will be the site of the ceremony on August 17.
Erick asked PLN, either through the PLTS or the parent substation, to be able to supply the listics thoroughly. Especially for the celebration of Independence Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia, PLN is ready to use PLTS at IKN to supply electricity of 10 Megawatts (MW) from a capacity of 50 MW, a 150 KV Gas Insulated Substation (GIS) with a capacity of 2x60 MVA, a transmission network, a distribution network, and nine substation units and distribution substations. For the total power requirements of the main venue of the RI Anniversary ceremony series of 1.5 MW, PLN guarantees the reliability of back up suplay in the form of generator sets and UPS.
PT Telkom, which is responsible for telecommunications, has set up a Fixed Broadband (FBB) network in 10 IKN locations and Jakarta with a total backbone capacity of 200 Gbps and 34 Telkomsel base stations for mobile broadband (2G, 4G, 5G) that can serve 35 thousand customers with excellent reliability.
