REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, YOGYAKARTA -- Vice President Jusuf Kalla opened the 6th National Muslim Congress (KUII) which was held in Yogyakarta Palace on Monday.
The vice president arrived at the location of the congers at around 09.50 Wst Indonesian Time. He was welcomed by Religious Affairs Minister Lukman Hakim Saefuddin and Chairman of Indonesian Ulema Council Din Syamsuddin and Yogyakarta' Sultan Hamengku Buwono X.
The 6th National Muslim Congress (KUII) is participated in by 775 people from the regional ulema council, Islamic organizations, Islamic boarding schools, universities and professionals from not only Indonesia but also abroad. There are also 75 observers attending the event.
