REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Saudi Arabia's Ambassador to Indonesia Osama bin Mohammed Abdullah as-Shuaibi said anyone who visits Holy Land should maintain his/her behaviour. He called on the pilgrims to focused on worship and maintain ethics.
He said the authority did not want any commotion. Pledging Pancasila and singing during sai could disrupt tranquility of the Holy Land.
"If such activities allowed, it will be imitated and cause a commotion," he said during dinner reception at his house in Jakarta, on Tuesday (Feb 27).
He reminded such commotion often created by Shiite during the old days. Qaramithah Shiite tried to destroy al Haram, ripped the cloth that covers the Kaaba (kiswah) and stole the Black Stone. "Imagine the commotion and the impact. It was stolen for 20 years, but we have it back now" he remarked.
On February 13, Said Humaidy Aba Nick conveyed his apology related to the pledging of Pancasila during sa'i. He has deleted the video.
He thanked the people who have reminded him. "I'm really sorry. It's purely a mistake," he said during Facebook live video statement while wearing ihram.
Nick called on the people not to imitate his fault. He did not want it became a guidance. "I do not have any intention to insult Pancasila or religion. I do not want to show off, search for sensation, nor being arrogant," he said.
Meanwhile, on February 24, Travel Alakbar's account on Youtube posted the video of umrah pilgrims singing Syubbanul Wathan (Ya Lal Wathan), the song created by founder of Ansor Youth Movement, Kiai Abdul Wahab Hasbullah.
