Bank Mandiri to increase financial transaction at gas stations

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - The biggest national bank, PT Bank Mandiri plans to increase financial transaction at gas stations. Currently, average the bank's transaction at gas stations reaches five to six trillion IDR per month. It is about 80 percent of the market share of retail outlets.

"We continues to develop our products to facilitate financial transactions for gas' enterpreneurs in Indonesia. Hopefully, we can increase our service by 27 percent this year," Senior Vice President of Bank Mandiri, Riza Zulkifli said on Saturday.

The bank has one program, One Tank Free, dedicated to strengthen relationship between Pertamina as state-owned oil and gas company with enterpreneurs. 

Until May 2013, Bank Mandiri has more than three million e-Money cards with frequency of transactions reached 45.3 million IDR or grow by 76 percent compared to last year. The volume grows 104 percent, from 274 billion IDR to 558 billion IDR, while the market share for e-Money transaction frequency has reached 84.17 percent.
