REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Minister of Finance Bambang Brodjonegoro is optimistic that Indonesia's economic growth will increase in the end of the year despite the lowest point of growth at 5.01 percent in Q3 2014, based on Statistic Indonesia (BPS) data. At least, Indonesia will reach 5.2 percent in the end of 2014 by increasing investment.
"The Q3 investment is still wait and see because of presidential election," Brodjonegoro said recently.
Moreover, President Joko 'Jokowi' Widodo is very excited to bring more investors to Indonesia. Government committed to improve the infrastructure to recover the investment climate in this country.
According to the new minister, consumer sector will also be a key factor driving economic growth in the fourth quarter. He estimated that government spending would be absorbed up to 95 percent by the end of the year.
"Hopefully the consumer sector and investment can help the growth in Q4 2014," he said.
