REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- The Indonesian volunteers for Gaza returned to their homeland after years of helping the Palestinians Earth to build a hospital. The return of 15 volunteers which were recruited from schools of Al-Fatah, Cileungsi, Bogor on Thursday night, June 25, was greeted happily by their respective families.

For a moment, they were crying in their welcoming place, Headquarters Mer-c, Jl. Kramat Lontar, Senen, Central Jakarta. Atmosphere was then melted along with the happiness of the families whose members have returned from the conflict zone.

"We are part of a team that has built a hospital in Gaza since 2011, is now back as the hospital of development results of Indonesia in Gaza has been completed," said Volunteer Coordinator Mer-C in Gaza, Nur Ikhwan Abadi told Republika, last night.

Ikhwan said, the hospital which was given the name of Indonesian Hospital was built on the results of the Indonesian community donations. Billions of funds collected were then able to generate a hospital that is sorely needed by Gazans related to the Israeli aggression which could occur at any time.

"Alhamdulillah, with the permission of Allah, starting this weekend Indonesia Hospital has been able to operate in Gaza. Later, the operation will be entrusted to local health authorities," said Ikhwan.
