REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Government has submitted a draft bill of Criminal Code and president’s letter to the House of Representatives (DPR). It means the discussion of Criminal Code’s bill could immediately begin by the parliament and government.
Chairman of Commission III of the House of Representatives (DPR), Aziz Syamsuddin said the president’s letter about Criminal Code’s bill has been entered the Secretariat General of the Parliament on Friday, June 5.
The bill discussion was still waiting Consultative Body meeting (Bamus). From Bamus, it could be determined the continuation of Criminal Code’s discussion in DPR. It was also associated with the discussion scheme, whether or not it will be discussed by chapter.
"If discussed by chapter, that was last year decision. There is no carry over," Aziz said in the parliament complex, Senayan, on Monday, June 8.
However, DPR was pessimistic could finalize the discussion of Criminal Code in 2015. Bill of Criminal Code became one of the government's initiatives bill which included in program of priority national legislation 2015.
