REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, CILACAP -- Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) Cilacap, issued an early warning about possibility of high waves in the waters of South Central Java.
Head of technician at BMKG Cilacap Teguh Wardoyo said, low pressure in southern waters of Indian Ocean in Cilacap, potentially triggered strong winds, high waves and bad weather.
"The height of the waves is expected to reach 3-4 meters. For that, we issue early warning for fishermen not too far from the coastline," he said, Friday (25/12).
While, tourists who want to fill a holiday with trips to the beach, were also warned not to bathe or swim in the sea.
"This warning has also been conveyed by Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) Cilacap to prevent things that are not desirable," he added.
He said, the bad weather has been going on since 20th to 23rd December. Based on observations of satellite, bad weather conditions would still occur to several days ahead
