REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- National Disaster Management Mitigation Agency (BNPB) spokesman Sutopo Purwo Nugroho has confirmed as many as nine people were killed as the bridge that connect Nusa Lembongan and Nusa Ceningan, Klungkung, Bali, collapsed on Sunday (16/10). The bridge collapsed at 6:00 local time. "A total of nine people dead and 18 other injured," Sutopo said in Jakarta, Sunday (16/10).
He said the authorities suspended the evacuation at thae site because they have not received reports on missing people. BNPB on Twitter account mentioned previously officers found seven dead, but death toll raised by two people at 8:21 pm local time. Some motorcycle riders splashed down in the water due to incident.
