REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- The IBL Tokopedia 2024 playoff will start on Thursday (11/7/2024) tonight. As one of the preparations for the smoothness of the match, the league operator carried out reinforcement from the side of the field adjudicator. The IBL brought in referees from abroad who took part in the conduct of this year's playoffs.
IBL in cooperation with PP Perbasi presents foreign referees with FIBA licenses. FIBA Asia recommended six foreign referee names for the 2024 IBL playoffs through to the final round. They are Mohamed Hasan Salman Alsalam (Bahrain), Urushima Daigo (Japan), Park Kyoungjin (Korea), Preeda Muongmee (Thailand) Sun Jian (China), and Zein Wissam (Syria). In addition, there will also be a referee coordinator, who will be in charge of helping to review the decisions made by the referee in each match.
These external referees will collaborate with local Indonesian referees who are also FIBA licensed, such as Harja Jaladri, Budi Marfan, Haryanto Sutaryo, Rendi Putera Dwiantino, and Rendra Lesmana. In addition, there are also several IBL referees who had good performances during the regular season, who will serve in the playoffs.
IBL President Director Junas Miradiarsyah hopes that the presence of foreign referees in IBL can simultaneously become an exchange of knowledge with local referees.
