Strengthening company transformation, Telkomsel replaces president director
Nugroho was appointed as the president director to replace Hendri Mulya Syam.
A subsidiary of PT Telkom Indonesia (TLKM), PT Telekomunikasi Selular (Telkomsel), made changes to the management of directors and commissioners. One of them was by appointing Nugroho as president director to replace Hendri Mulya Syam.
Telkom's SVP Corporate Communication and Investor Relations, Ahmad Reza, said that Telkomsel also appointed Sarwoto Atmosutarno as Commissioner to replace Nanang Pamuji Mugasejati, and appointed Indra Mardiatna as Network Director to replace Nugroho who previously filled that position.
This decision, which has been approved by Telkom and Singapore Telecommunications Ltd (SingTel) as Telkomsel's shareholders, is effective from 1 December 2023 for the appointment of commissioners and 8 December 2023 for the appointment of directors.
Reza said that as parent and majority shareholder, Telkom believes that this change in Telkomsel's management is a positive step to strengthen the company's transformation steps and performance, especially regarding Fixed Mobile Convergence. Reza assessed that this would be a good start for Telkomsel to welcome 2024.
"Currently Telkomsel is transforming into a digital telecommunications company," said Reza.
Reza said that in July 2023 Telkomsel had implemented the Fixed Mobile Convergence initiative through the integration of IndiHome into Telkomsel. Serving more than 158.3 million customers,
Telkomsel provides connectivity for all Indonesian people spread to the deepest and outermost areas, with the support of more than 233 thousand BTS, which is supported by the latest 4G and 5G broadband network technology.
