Indonesian Artist Saipul Jamil will Be Investigated Further at Police Lab
Artist Saipul Jamil will be examined further at Metro Jaya Police lab.
REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Artist Saipul Jamil was further checked into the laboratory of Metro Jaya Police. This was after he tested negative for taking drugs through a urine test on Friday.
“In the lab of the Jaya metro police. In the lab means a test, to be assured that later it will be delivered to the public more definitely, like that,” said Saipul Jamil, the King of Simanjuntak in Tambora Police Department on Friday night.
Saipul Jamil was herded out of Tambora Police Station at 22:28pm. He wore a hoodie, a hat and a mask as he was about to get into the car for further examination at the Metro Jaya Police laboratory.
Lawyer Saipul Jamil did not accompany the person concerned when he was checked into the Metro Polda lab. “There is no need for accompaniment, we are sure that the police of the Republic of Indonesia is outstanding,” Raja said.
Regarding the police statement regarding the arrest of Saipul Jamil, Raja has not given any definite details. “We don't need to look back anymore. The wrong remains the wrong, the right inevitably unfolds the right, as it were,” he said.
Regarding the manner in which officers arrested Saipul Jamil in a public place (busway stop lane), Raja commented that the police had done their best.
“There must be a cause and effect. It is clear that the police of the Republic of Indonesia are doing their best like that,” Raja said.
Meanwhile, regarding Saipul Jamil's assistant positive for taking drugs, Raja turns the matter over to the police.
“Later, we don't take precedence from the police. I can't comment on that yet. But it is clear Saipul Jamil is innocent. Did you know that? We'll see later, maybe later the police chief will deliver everything,” Raja explained.
He also confirmed that if the vetting process goes smoothly, then Saipul Jamil could be released on Saturday morning. “Hopefully this morning, like that yes,” he said.
It is known that the artist Saipul Jamil, who was arrested by the police near the Jelambar TransJakarta Stop, West Jakarta on Friday afternoon, declared negative for taking drugs although his assistant was positive for using narcotics.
Tambora Kompol chief Donny Harvida explained that the results were obtained after the two underwent urine tests after the arrest. “Already we checked urine, Saipul Jamil was negative and his assistant was positive (drugs),” Kompol Donny Harvida said on Friday.
Initially, Donny said, police planned to secure someone related to the drug case, but it turned out that the person was with Saipul Jamil in the car.
“Yes, we are safe, we have captured. We are still doing checks, deepening, it just so happened that we were securing someone, it turned out that there was Saipul Jamil in it (the car),” Donny said.
Until now, police are investigating Saipul Jamil's involvement in the drug case. “So we're still looking into whether Saipul Jamil was involved or not, we're still in it,” Donny said.
