REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Bank Indonesia (BI) again held Indonesia Sharia Economic Festival (ISEF) 2024, Indonesia's largest sharia economic festival, which will take place from October 30 to November 3, 2024 at Jakarta Convention Center (JCC). Bearing the theme of “Sharia Economic and Financial Synergies Strengthening Resilience and Sustainable Economic Growth,” ISEF 2024 integrates a range of activities focused on sharia economic and financial development.

According to the Head of BI's Department of Economics and Finance, Imam Hartono, this festival is a form of BI's commitment to fight for the progress of Sharia economy in Indonesia. “ISEF aims to be the largest and most integrative platform in Indonesia, bringing together all stakeholders fighting for the sharia economy in Indonesia,” he said.

ISEF 2024 presents two main agendas, namely Sharia Economic Forum and Sharia Fair. In the Sharia Economic Forum, experts and stakeholders will discuss important issues such as the development of halal industry and halal lifestyle in Indonesia. Sharia Fair will feature the Indonesia International Modest Fashion Festival (IN2MF), an international halal chef competition, as well as an exhibition of halal products.

In addition to activities in Jakarta, BI has previously organized Sharia Economic Festivals (FeSYAR) in three regions, namely Sumatra, the Eastern Region of Indonesia, and Java, as part of the series towards ISEF 2024.

This series of sharia economic and financial activities is expected to drive the transformation of the national economy, given that sharia economies that have an inclusive and sustainable business model are judged to have advantages in the face of the global crisis.
