REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia Tbk continues to improve the economy through MSMEs with the BRiliaN Village program. BRI President Director Sunarso said the BRiliaN Village program, helped to increase the level of financial inclusion in the village.
It was noted that BRI savers rose 47.7 percent, bringing the total to 32 million people with BRI savings accounts.
“Even from this program, BRI's DPK also rose to 29.9 percent or reached more than Rp 6 trillion. Credit customers rose 26 percent, as 177 thousand people who previously did not dare to take credit, now dare to take credit, the value of village loans reached more than IDR 16.1 trillion. Then the BriLink Agent also reached more than 700 thousand agents in the village,” he explained.
By 2023, BRI will empower 3,178 villages across Indonesia with the four pillars supporting the BRiliaN Village Program.
The four pillars are to move Village Owned Enterprises (BUMDes) as the economic engine of the village, digitize the village with the penetration of digital products and their driving activities, encourage innovation in the village, and build sustainability and resilience in developing the village.
