REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Chairman of DPD I of the West Java Golkar Party, Ace Hasan Syadzily said that his party submitted Ridwan Kamil and Ahmed Zaki Iskandar to advance in the local elections (Local elections) DKI Jakarta. However, he claimed to have dialogue with RK to propose him to go forward in the West Java election.
“Mr. RK is related to the elections especially the Jabar elections, I certainly want him to join election to be west java governor,” Ace said at Nusantara II Building, Parliament Complex, Jakarta, Tuesday (27/2/2024).
This can be the momentum of the Golkar Party to increase its vote in West Java for the next general election (Election). Moreover, RK is a former mayor of Bandung and governor of West Java.
“Thank God the Golkar Party in Jabar is the top party now and it must be perfected by the victory of this Golkar Party with local elections in Jabar. Where Kang Emil is, we expect him to be willing to return to become a candidate for regional head in West Java Province,” Ace said.
For now, the Golkar Party tasked RK and Ahmed Zaki to improve its electability. Later, the number will be the consideration of his side designating one name.
“Golkar gives the two choices to continue raising the electability of each of them and after that Golkar will conduct a survey of the two names,” said the Deputy Chairman of Commission VIII of the Parliament.
It is known that the General Chairman of the Golkar Party, Airlangga Hartarto admitted to giving a letter of recommendation to the Deputy Chairman of Golkar Party Voter Fundraising Field Ridwan Kamil and the Chairman of DPD Golkar DKI Jakarta Ahmed Zaki to advance to the Jakarta election.
Nevertheless, he submitted the final decision on the nomination of Ridwan Kamil and Ahmed Zaki in the results of the last survey. “Certainly the decision depends on the last survey,” he said.
In addition to considering the results of the survey, the appointment of Ridwan Kamil and Ahmed Zaki will be made in a special forum of the Golkar Party to be held according to the schedule of the upcoming elections.
“It will be elected in a special forum according to the schedule of the elections, but we cannot yet,” Airlangga said.
