REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA- General Chairman (Ketum) of the Indonesian Ulema Assembly (MUI) Anwar Iskandar prayed that President Prabowo Subianto could contribute to realizing Palestinian independence.

“We all see how noble the heart and soul of our President is, so great is his partiality to the Indonesian people, so great his aspiration to young children, and so high a sense of solidarity towards other oppressed nations, especially the Palestinians for the barbarity of Zionism that has committed genocide and inhuman things, give your help to our President,” Anwar said during the lead prayer in Inauguration of the President and Vice President of RI Period 2024—2029 in Gedung Nusantara, parliamentary complex, Jakarta, Sunday (20/10/2024).

In addition, he also prayed that Prabowo and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka could realize all their visions and missions, such as creating well-being for the Indonesian people.

“Give him the ability and strength to bring prosperity and prosperity to the Indonesian people,” he said.

Anwar also prayed that Prabowo-Gibran would be able to maintain the integrity of NKRI and enlighten the life of the nation. He prayed that all Prabowo-Gibran's work as leader of the Indonesian nation in the next five years could be a record of pious charity for both.

Earlier in his speech, President Prabowo reiterated that the Indonesian government was ready to send more humanitarian aid to a number of areas in Gaza, Palestine.

“We are ready to send more humanitarian aid to Palestine. We are ready to evacuate the wounded, including children, traumatized, victims of war,” he said.

He also said that the Indonesian government was ready to provide hospitals to help the victims of the war.

“We are setting up military hospitals to help our brothers who are victims of an unjust war,” he said.

Prabowo Subianto and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka took the oath of office as President and Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia for the term 2024—2029 during the Plenary Session of the Indonesian Parliament at the Nusantara Building, Parliament Complex, Jakarta, Sunday.

A total of 709 out of 732 members of the RI Assembly witnessed the procession for the pronouncement of the oath of office. The Plenary Session of the RI Assembly was also attended by national figures, leaders of political parties, and representatives of friendly countries.
