REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, CAIRO -- Egypt's foreign ministry on Tuesday reiterated its demand for the Israeli side to exercise restraint and stop a policy of revenge and collective punishment of the Palestinian people.

In a statement, the ministry called for giving enough chance to the Palestinian authority to hold its responsibility to pursue the perpetrators and bring them to justice as Egypt is continuously following up the case to contain the repercussions of the abduction by unknowns and killing of three Israeli teenagers in the west bank and its endeavor to prevent the situation from worsening and become uncontrollable.

However, Egypt denounced all kinds of violence that leads to more killing of civilians from the two sides, emphasizing the importance of coming back to negotiation table to settle the prolonged dispute.
