REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, BANDUNG -- West Java's soccer club Persib defeated Lao Toyota FC of Laos 1-0 (1-0) during a Group H preliminary match of the AFC Cup 2015 in Si Jalak Harupat Stadium in Soreang, Bandung district, on Wednesday.
The only goal for Persib was scored by the team's captain Atep in the 19th minute, assisted by Tantan, after displaying great teamwork with M. Ridwan.
With this victory, Persib leads the AFC Cup 2015 Group H with seven points after winning two matches against New Radiant of Maldives and Lao Toyota FC and drawing a match with Ayeyawady United of Myanmar.
During the match, the Indonesia Super League champions controlled the game. Several opportunities were created by Persib, but it failed to capitalize them into goals.
Persib team comprised I. Made Wirawan (GK), Vladimir Vujovic, Abdulrahman, Jajang Sukmara, Supardi Nasir, Dedi Kusnandar, Firman Utina, M. Ridwan, Makan Konate, Atep, and Tantan.
Lao Toyota FC was represented by Chabthakhad (GK), Saynakhonevieng, Shintaro Ihara, Thenthong Phonsettha, Moukda Souksavath, Phattana Syvilay, Frederic Pooda, Paseuthsack Soulyavong, Sitthideth Khanthavong, Kazuo Homma, and Maitee.
