Indonesia sends preachers in a peace mission to Thailand

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - Indonesian government sends preachers in a peace mission to Thailand on July 24-30, 2013. Minister of Religious Affairs, Suryadharma Ali, officialy dipatched the team. 

Earlier, Director General of Islamic Guidance, Abdul Djamil said Ministry of Religious Affairs had conducted a meeting with delegations of Southern Border Province Administrative Centre of The Kingdom of Thailand (SBPAC).

"Sending Indonesian preachers is part of our cooperation with Thai government through SBPAC," Djamil said on Wednesday.

There are ten preachers who is sent to Thailand. Today, Muslim population in Thailand is eight to nine millions out of 60 millions of Thai population.
