REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Priest of Istiqlal Mosque, Ali Mustafa Yaqub said, in Ramadan there was still a lot of preachers who read out the false hadith in his lecture. One false hadith which was often read was the hadith that said sleep while on fasting was part of worships.
"When Ramadan, at least there are 9 to 10 false hadith slid from the preacher’s mouth. In fact, they often act to deceive the Prophet,” he told ROL, on Thursday, July 2.
Ali added, there were many people who brought the hadith with a pretext to evoke the spirit of people in worship. However, the facts that arise even encourage people to fill the Ramadan fasting with sleep.
"Now, I often hear people reasoned brought the hadith to evoke the spirit. But the spirit to sleep is increased,” he added.
Indeed, filling the days with sleep would not invalidate the fasting for not doing something which will invalidate the fast. But, according to him, it was not the primary because of the challenge obtained became less.
