REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA – PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia (Telkom) was interested in expanding its business to Myanmar, CEO of Telkom Indonesia, Rinaldi Firmansyah, said on Wednesday. “We are interested in Myanmar, moreover the country has a big population,” Firmansyah said.
Soon, Telkom may send a team to calculate the potency in the second largest country in Southeast Asia.
Several state-owned enterprises united in Indonesian Incorporate earlier before decided to enter Myanmar market, starting from banking sector to oil and construction. The country, Firmansyah said, was considered to have stable economy. Also, the political condition now is relatively conducive for investment.
