REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - The Minister of Finance, Agus Martowardojo, said the upcoming G-20 meeting in Los Cabos, Mexico, would discuss about European crisis.
"As seen on the agenda, we will fatherly discuss the development of global economy," he said on Tuesday night.
The theme, he said, was relevant to the latest condition because Greece would hold election on June 17 and it could determine the future euro zone. The forum, he added, was a good opportunity to deliver the importance of financing the infrastructure project because it could boost the economic growth for developed and developing countries.
"Developed countries will have the opportunity to sell its technology to the developing countries so that they can accelerate infrastructure development," he explained.
The involvement of International Monetary Fund (IMF) in solving the crisis and volatility of commodity will be also discussed further on the summit. As the host, Mexico proposes the discussion on the development of green economy.
Another material to be discussed is about the importance of financial inclusion to improve people's welfare continuously. "Financial inclusion gets the warm welcome from the members of G-20," the minister said.
