REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, BUCHAREST - The Chairman of Indonesian Red Cross (PMI), Jusuf Kalla, is scheduled to attend a meeting invitation from Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu. The meeting, held in Doha, Qatar, on Thursday, October 4, discussed the fund-raising and distribution of aid for Rohingya and Rakhine in Myanmar.

The meeting is a follow-up of Kalla's visit last August 2012 to Myanmar with the Assistant of Secretary General of OIC, Atta Abdul Manan, and President of Red Crescent of Qatar, Muhammad Al-Mahdedd. Several regional and international organizations, such as Qatar Charity, Kuwait Islamic International Charitable Organization and Saudi Arabia Red Crescent Society are expected to attend the event.

On his meeting with Myanmar's President Thein Shien on August 10 in Nay Pyi Taw, Jusuf Kalla expressed his plan to help Rohingya. PMI then delivered some aids-consist of towels, buckets, soaps, saroongs, and blankets-to Rohingya in August 25.
