REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - Indonesia export false hair and eyelashes -dubeed as 'anti-hurricane'- worn by an Indonesian singer, Syahrini, to Ukraine. Indonesian Diplomat at Embassy of Ukraine, Erly Wijayani said those products were popular Eastern and Central Europe.

"Ukrainian women for example, loved to dress up and being stylish. Market share for such products was very large in Ukraine," Wijayani said on Saturday. 

Indonesian Ambassador to Prague, Emiria Siregar added Central and Eastern Europe also liked toupee or wig products from Indonesia. "They are interested as the wig made from original hair," she said.

Director General of National Export Promotion at Ministry of Trade, Gusmardi Bustami said export value of Indonesian hair and false eyelashes reached 100 million USD or 925 billion IDR in 2012 and they are exported to about 40 countries.
