Mandala Airlines to add four new aircrafts

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - PT Mandala Airlines will add four aircrafts types of Airbus-320 this year. Thus, the airline will have 12 fleets in the end of 2013. The national airline -now cooperating wIth Tiger Airways of Singapore- is also ambitious to have 25 aircrafts by 2015.

Mandala is announced the new brand, Tigerair Mandala as part of Tigerair Group. President Director of Tigerair Mandala, Paul Rombeek said the rename aimed to make Mandala closer to young consumers.

"The re-branding will later be followed by other airlines under Tigerair Groups gradually. For example, Tiger Airways which turned into Tigerair (TR), Tiger Australia to Tigerair Australia (TT) and SEAIR to Tigerair Philippines (DG). Tigerair Group also promises to offer a wider range of target of passengers," Rombeek said on Wednesday.

Director of Financial at Tigerair Mandala, Andry Irwan hoped the re-branding could reach revenue targets throughout 2012. Since July 25,2013, Mandala had four international routes to Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok and Hong Kong. 

"Mandala also targets consumers who love traveling and active in social media. We also have 12,849 followers on Twitter," Irwan said.

Mandala now reaches more than 50 destination in 13 countries. This airline is able to fly 43 times per day.
