REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - One of the largest pharmaceutical companies operting in Indonesia, Soho Group, announced its acquisition over two natural pharmaceutical product innovators, Ginsana SA and Prothera through its subsidiary, Soho Flordis International. Ginsana SA is a company based in Switzerland, while Prothera based in Nevada, USA.
President Director of Soho Group Marcus Pitt said both companies' shares were purchased by Pharmaton, a subsidiary of Boehringer Ingelheim Group. He wanted to make Soho as world scale company to develop natural medicinal products, including herbal raw materials from Indonesia.
"This is a real step of Soho Group to develop a portfolio and strategic business, both domestically and abroad, especially for natural medicinal products," Pitt said in written statement on Sunday.
