Bali Mandara toll users reach 90 percent

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, DENPASAR -- Bali Mandara toll users have reached 90 percent. The number of toll road users reach 37 thousand vehicles per day.

"The number reaches 30 thousand vehicles per day. It increased to 43 thousand vehicles in Galungan Celebration," Public Relation officer of PT Jasa Marga Bali Tol, Drajad Hari Suseno said recently.

More people in Bali feel the benefit of alternative road. Users can save time and avoid the congestion. Bali Mandara toll road started to operate in September 2013. Traffic flow on Bypass Ngurah Rai ran smoothly. Vehicles stopped only when exposed to red light.

Bali Mandara toll road stretches along 12.7 kilometers and was built in December 2011. Budget construction reaches 2.4 trillion IDR. It connects Ngurah Rai airport, Port of Benoa and Nusa Dua.

The construction is undertaken by consortium of state owned construction companies and local government.

They are PT Jasa Marga, PT Adhi Karya, PT Wijaya Karya, PT Hutama Karya, PT Pelindo III, PT Angkasa Pura I and Bali Tourism Development.
