REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - State owned bank,  Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BRI), targets 10 to 12 percent of profit growth in 2014. BRI Finance Director, Achmad Baiquni said that the bank cut the prospect from 15 percent of profit growth in 2013.

"Our earning growth have been quite substantial last year. So better growth is out of question for this year," Baiquni said recently.

BRI will be more selective to expand its credit within range of 15 to 17 percent. Company will try to boost growth by selecting production segment.

"We select loan with high interest rate now because our allocation this year is also small," Baiquni added.

BRI will boost its profit from fee based income instead of non interest income, while at the same time the bank will improve its efficiency
