Telkom to complete Timika-Merauke's digital network in 2015

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -  State-owned telecommunications operator PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia (Telkom) will complete Timika-Merauke's digital network construction in 2015. President Director of Telkom, Arief Yahya said that the company targetted 20 million networks across Indonesia.

"Digital network connection process must be completed and It will connect Timika-Merauke in 2015," Yahya said recently.

Telkomsel also build the largest data center in ASEAN on 300 thousand square meters of areas in several regions in Indonesia. Telkom also develops an international expansion in 2014 to increase its networks in ten countries, especially Australia, Taiwan and New Zealand this year. So far Telkom has expanded to five countries, namely Singapore, Hong Kong, East Timor, Malaysia and United States.

Network development is a part of business strategy which successfully increased the revenue up to eight percent in 2013. Telkom's subsidiary, PT Telkomsel contributed 60 percent or 60 trillion IDR of revenue.
