REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- The inflation rate this year was predicted to be lower than three percent. It was because the effects of expiration of the price of fuel oil (BBM).
Governor of Bank Indonesia (BI), Agus Martowardojo, predicted the inflation rate this year could be much lower than the target of four percent plus or minus one percent. This happened because of the low level of inflation during January-November 2015, which reached 2.37 percent.
"It could be lower than the target. It may even be below three percent," said Agus, at Borobudur Hotel, Jakarta, Tuesday (1/12).

According to Agus, the low level of inflation because it was the end of the effects of rising prices of fuel oil (BBM) that was conducted by the government in November 2014.
"We must continue to maintain low and stable inflation," Agus added.
Central Statistics Agency reported the inflation rate in November 2015 was only 0.21 percent. While the inflation rate during January to November 2015 reached 2.37 percent.
