REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - Saving Underwriter (LPS) has the total fund of 20.06 trillion IDR in 2011. LPS put the investment fund of 18.697 trillion IDR -or counted about 93 percent of the total fund- in State Securities (SBN).
"In 2011 the investment fund placements accounted for 93 pct of the total LPS of 20.06 trillion IDR," head of LPS Firdaus Djaelani said at the House of Representatives building in Jakarta, Wednesday.
And investment fund placement in Bank Indonesia Certificates (SBI) amounting to 1.5 trillion IDR. The placement of investment in SBN, Firdaus said, promised a profit of 7.11 percent, and SBI only 6.8 percent.
"We divided SBN into several compositions. To maintain liquidity of LPS, the biggest composition was short term totaling 13.109 trillion IDR," Firdaus said.
Firdaus added that last year LPS gained a premium from Rural Bank (BPR) or Islamic Rural Bank (BPRS) amounting to 74.2 billion IDR and conventional banks 4.952 trillion IDR.
