REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Duo Yamaha riders, Valentino Rossi and Jorge Lorenzo visited official residence of Jakarta Governor, Joko Widodo a.k.a Jokowi on Friday morning. However, it was only Lorenzo who joined the Governor, while Rossi just arrived in Jakarta.

Since at 06:00 AM, dozens of journalists have been waiting for the arrival of Lorenzo in front of Jokowi's house. At 06:35 AM, a black Vellfire stopped in front of the white house. Lorenzo came out of the car wearing sunglasses and a dark blue sports jacket.

The weather was drizzling when Lorenzo arrived at Jokowi residence. He was accompanied by camera flashes from dozens of media workers. The Spanish rider immediately entered into the residence.

After 10 minutes, both of Lorenzo and Jokowi finally came out followed by others, namely Mayor of Central Jakarta (Saefullah) and Menteng Sub-District Head (Bondan Dyah Ekowati). They were getting ready to head to City Hall with their bicycles. At the moment, Jokowi won the race against the Spaniard.

"Yes, I won the race. Lorenzo was at my back," Jokowi said on Friday.

After the race, Jokowi, Lorenzo and Rossi held a press conference.
