REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, MALANG -- Malang city government plans to build an Islamic center with Chinese style on area of four hectares in Kedungkandang. The budget reaches 46.9 billion IDR.
Head of Public Housing and Spatial Planning Department, Teddy Soemarna explained that the Islamic center would be built next year. It can be enjoyed as a religious tourist sites in Malang.
"We will coordinate with Regional Finance and Asset Management Agency to fix the location. However, we have choose Kedungkandang as an initial location," Soemarna said recently.
The Islamic center will be equipped with some facilities, including Cheng Ho mosque, Quran educational institute, computer lab, auditorium, health clinic, library, sport facilities and other public facilities.
