Prabowo claims that some are afraid if he wins

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - Presidential candidate, Prabowo Subianto, said that some people were afraid if he won the elections. He said that before some 250 thousand supporters thronged the Bung Karno Sports Stadium to follow a grand campaign held by the Prabowo-Hatta Rajasa pair on Sunday.

"There are people who are afraid if Prabowo wins the elections. They are afraid of a clean government who will defend its own people," Prabowo.

He said that they were afraid of the government who would defend its own people. "They like a puppet government. Now I want to ask you, are ready to be led by a puppet government?," Prabowo asked his supporters grouped in political alliance baking his nomination, mass organizations and laborers.

Prabowo said that there would be a competition in the elections to decide whether Indonesia would be led by a clean government, not a government controlled by others.

In his oration, vice presidential candidate Hatta Rajasa called on his supporters to conduct well-mannered campaigns. "We should not be provoked by negative rumors and black campaigns. We should avoid these kinds of campaigns because they are not in accordance with the Indonesian peoples personality," Rajasa said. 

The supporters came from Jakarta and its buffer towns of Depok, Bogor, Tangerang and Bekasi. Music groups such as Raja and Soneta enlivened the event. Noted musician Ahmad Dhani and Dangdut music King Rhoma Irama also entertained supporters.
