PDIP optimistic to win votes in West Java

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, BANDUNG -- Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle PDIP's Central Board Chairman, Maruarar Sirait is optimistic that Joko 'Jokowi' Widodo and Jusuf Kalla will win votes in West Java in next election. He ensured that the pair could break several surveys that showed Jokowi's electability in West Java, which was under Prabowo.

"We will defeat Prabowo and Hatta in West Java," Sirait said recently as reported by M Akbar Widjaya.

According to him, people of West Java have been waiting for a change of leadership at national level. It is because people feeling less government attention to them. For example, food prices in the province continue to rise, many roads are damaged, and the spread of land conversion.

West Java became the focus of Jokowi's campaign as the province had large numbers of voters, 32,813,211 voters. Sirait put high attention of West Java people over the next presidential election.

He estimated that Jokowi could grab 51-55 percent of votes in this province. He expressed his readiness to deploy a cadre of Taruna Merah Putih to win Jokowi and Jusuf Kalla in the democratic process.
