REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) received the leaders and ranks of the National Profession Standardization Agency (BNSP) at the Merdeka Palace here on Monday.
After the meeting with the president, BNSP Head Sumarna F. Abdurahman stated that he had reported to the head of state about the agency's past and future activities for the year 2015.
"We reported to the president what we have done and what we will do in 2015 to prepare our workforce," Sumarna affirmed.
He mentioned that there were 12 priority employment sectors in the ASEAN, which require certification support in order to compete with other countries.
The BNSP head remarked that from the results of the meeting with other heads of states, President Jokowi affirmed that Indonesia should not be afraid, as the country has vast human resources.
According to Sumarna, the president supported what has been achieved by the BNSP to improve the quality of manpower in Indonesia.
"The president supports what the BNSP has done to improve the quality of our manpower," Sumarna remarked.
