REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) is scheduled to observe a battle exercise of the Indonesian Army (TNI AD) in Baturaja, Ogan Komering Ulu, South Sumatra, on Tuesday.
The army will demonstrate a parachute display, deployment of seven drones in a spying mission, and deployment of a combat reconnaissance unit.
President Jokowi will fly to Way Kanan District, South Sumatra, from the Halim Perdana Kusuma Air Force Base aboard a Hercules aircraft belonging to the Army.
He will board an Anoa combat vehicle and will be accompanied by the Army chief of staff while inspecting the troops.
Jokowi will give directives to the Army personnel participating in the battle exercise.
Jokowi will return to Jakarta on the same day, as he is scheduled to receive members of the Muhammadiyah leadership at the Merdeka Palace.
