REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- The government will reshuffle the cabinet at the appropriate time, Vice President Jusuf Kalla said.
"It will be done when the time comes," he stated after attending a fast-breaking gathering organized by the National Democratic (Nasdem) Party here on Saturday.
Speculations on the cabinet reshuffle have been mounting since President Joko Widodo asked his ministers to submit evaluation reports of their work in the last six months.
However, neither President Jokowi nor Vice President Jusuf Kalla officially announced whether the reports will have an impact on the cabinet reshuffle.
The evaluation is conducted to check to what extent each ministry has achieved its targets.
"I keep abreast of everyday developments, as well as weekly and monthly developments," the president remarked.
Also present at the fast-breaking gathering were Chief of the Nasdem Party Surya Paloh, Chief of the Indonesian Justice and Unity Party Sutiyoso, Chief of the People's Conscience (Hanura) Party Wiranto, and Chief of the Golkar Party of the Ancol Congress Agung Laksono.
Several ministers, including Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Tedjo Edhy Purdijatno, Agrarian and Spatial Layout Minister Ferry Mursyidan Baldan, and Environment and Forestry Minister Siti Nurbaya, were also seen attending the event.
Chairman of the People's Consultative Assembly (MPR) Zulkifli Hasan, Speaker of the House of Representatives (DPR) Setya Novanto, Attorney General H. M. Prasetyo and Governor of Central Java Ganjar Pranowo were also present.
