REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Residence of Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK)’s investigators Police Commissioner (Kompol) Afif Julian Miftah in South Bekasi terrorized by the unknown person.
Approximately 22:00 PM yesterday, July 5, while Police Commissioner Afif and wife and their children came home, they found objects suspected detonator- shaped bomb.
"While they opened the fence, there was a parcel suspected bomb contents. Kompol Afif was directly calling South Bekasi Police," said Head of Public Relations of Bekasi Regional Police AKP Siswo, when contacted by ROL on Monday, July 6.
Up to now, Siswo added, the suspected bomb object was still under investigation by bomb squad team of Bekasi City.
"It's only been secured. So we do not know, it is the real bomb or not. How the explosive power, we do not know yet," said Siswo.
Meanwhile the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has asked police to investigate terror against their investigators.
"I got the report and the investigator in question has been reported to the local police to investigate the perpetrators and the motive behind the intimidation," said Caretaker of Deputy Chairman of KPK, Indriyanto Seno Adji, on Monday.
Caretaker of Deputy Chairman of KPK Johan Budi said the incident would not certainly relate to the case handled by Afif.
"We cannot directly connect it to a particular incident; it is too early to conclude it. This incident has been reported to the police through a nearby police station, and the police also checked the location of the crime scene (TKP). We are waiting for the search results by the police," said Johan through short messages.
Johan also said that KPK would provide protection to the family of Kompol Apip. "Internally, KPK will provide protection," said Johan.
