REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- The Red-and-White Coalition (KMP) plans to seek an explanation from the Chief of the National Mandate Party (PAN), Zulkifli Hasan, on his party's decision to join the Great Indonesia Coalition (KIH).
"We will ask for a clarification from the PAN Chief," KMP day-to-day Secretary, Fahri Hamzah, said at the parliament building on Thursday.
The KMP is scheduled to invite the PAN Chairman to attend a meeting in Jakarta on Thursday evening.
Hamzah said the KMP's day-to-day leadership will also ask PAN Chief Hasan to clarify the party's current position on whether it has joined the KIH.
If PAN has indeed joined the KIH, will PAN support the government internally or from outside, he asked.
"That is what we want Zulkifli Hasan to clarify," Hamzah stated.
In return, KMP plans to explain to PAN how it was created and has developed until now, he added.
KMP is committed to remaining solid. "PAN's stance is up to them, but the KMP needs to still ask for a clarification about it," Hamzah noted.
