REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) has summoned several ministers to prepare for the 2016 state budget draft's discussion to be held during a plenary session shortly after the presidential working visit to Eastern Indonesia.
"The president has asked me to make preparations for a plenary meeting on Thursday," Chief Cabinet Secretary Pramono Agung stated at the Presidential Palace Complex in Jakarta, Monday.
Before leaving on a working visit to Maluku, North Maluku, and Papua scheduled on April 4-6, 2016, the president had summoned Coordinating Minister of Economic Affairs Darmin Nasution, Finance Minister Bambang Brodjonegoro, Foreign Affairs Minister Retno L.P. Marsudi, and Cabinet Secretary Agung to the Palace.
Pramono said that besides preparing for the 2016 state budget draft's discussion, the meeting will also cover the ease of doing business and the government's work plan in the medium and long term.
"This includes the one-map policy matters," Pramono said.
The cabinet secretary revealed that President Jokowi was also giving priority to current issues being faced by the government and hoped they would be resolved soon.
Pramono stated that the president had also summoned the foreign affairs minister to discuss the Indonesian sailor hostage situation and some other matters.
"The minister will have to report to the president," he added.
