REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, MAKASSAR -- Vice President Jusuf Kalla held an open house to welcome Eid al-Fitr or Lebaran well-wishers at his private residence on Jalan Haji Bau in Makassar, South Sulawesi, on Thursday.
Kalla and his family members cordially received their guests comprising South Sulawesi Governor Syahrul Yasin Limpo, Wirabuana Military Commander Major General Agus Surya Bakti, South Sulawesi Police Chief Inspector General Anton Charliyan, and Makassar Mayor Moh Ramdhan Pomanto.
At his private residence, the vice president served various local delicacies to his guests.
Apart from several officials, relatives, and friends, Kalla also received well-wishers from various public circles. Hundreds of members of the public lined up in front of his house to convey Lebaran greetings.
The vice president has been holding an open house for the public since the past several years. The event had become a tradition in Kalla's family.
