REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Indonesian President Joko Widodo in the Presidential Palace, Jakarta, Wednesday (20/7), has appointed the Head of National Counterterrorism Agency (BNPT) and Head of the Food and Drugs Monitoring Agency (BPOM).
Commissioner General Suhardi Alius who previously served as First Secretary of the National Resilience Institute (Lemhannas) now appointed as Chief of BNPT. Meanwhile Penny Kusumastuti Lukito appointed as Head of BPOM. Penny previously served in the National Development Agency (Bappenas).
Suhardi replaced Gen. Tito Karnavian who last week was appointed as national police chief, and Penny replace Head of BPOM Bahdar Johan Hamid. The appointment of both was preceded by oath of office led by Joko Widodo.
These event was attended by the Minister of Health Nila Moeloek and National Police chief Gen. Tito Karnavian, The Regional Legislative Council (DPD) chairman Irman Gusman, Vice chairman of the House of Representatives Fadli Zon, KPK Vice Chairman Basaria Panjaitan, Chairman of the People Consultative Assembly (MPR) Zulkifli Hasan, Minister of Home Affairs Tjahjo Kumolo, and Jakarta Governor Basuki Tjahaja Purnama (Ahok).
