Jakarta City Hall receives bomb threat

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - Jakarta City Hall reportedly has received bomb threat from unknown people.

Hundreds of joint officers of public order agency (Satpol PP) personnel and Police’s bomb squad teams were deployed to guard the Jakarta Governor Basuki Tjahaja Purnama (Ahok)’s office, due to the building area included in the area of Ring one and near with the bomb blast site of Thamrin that was happened in January 2016.

Unfortunately when confirmed, Ahok did not know about bomb threat.

"I do not know, must ask the police," he said at City Hall, on Wednesday (20/7).

Meanwhile, the chief of Metro Gambir Police, Central Jakarta, Grand Commissioner Adjutant (AKBP) Ida Ketut Krisna Grahananta Renda has confirmed the bomb threat at Jakarta City Hall.

"That's right. There was a bomb threat around at 09:15 a.m," Ida said.
