REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, PURWAKARTA -- RS (34), the alleged terror suspect caught in Kepek village, Gunung Kidul, Yogyakarta, on Tuesday is believed to have played a role in financing four Indonesians now wanted by Philippine police.

"He sent US$7,500, which was dispatched twice to YP, AS, Y, and AY, who are now wanted by Philippine police," Indonesian Police head of public information department Senior Commissioner Martinus Sitompul said here on Wednesday.

The fund is believed to be sent early in Feb 2017, he stated, adding that "it is still being investigated from where RS raised the money and how he sent it."

RS has been taken to Jakarta for further interrogation. "The investigators have 7x24 hours to question RS," he noted.

The Indonesia Police have released a Philippine police report that seven Indonesian citizens have been put in the wanted list for their alleged links to the Maute group, which is affiliated with ISIS in Marawi, Mindanao, the Philippines.
