REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Director General of the ministry's population and civil registration division (Dukcapil) Zudan Arif Fakhrullah said the faith of the indigenous-belief followers (penghayat kepercayaan) probably would not be stated in details on e-ID card.
It aimed to avoid frequent changes of data on identification card.
According to him, the government has considered several options related to the technical writing about status of people adopting indigenous beliefs on e-ID card.
Zudan said, indigenous native faiths's name sometimes change or even dissolve. It would affect on the change of data on identity card.
"If the belief's name changed or dissolved, then the data in e-ID card should also be changed. Therefore, the government considered to not include the name for indigenous-belief followers," Zudan said on Monday (November 13).
There were two options of technical writing of indigenous-belief followers. First, it will be written with 'belief in God Almighty' and second with 'adherent trust'.
"We are still discussing the writing option between two," he added.
