REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Indonesian Political Indicators pollster released findings, Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati and State Owned Enterprises (SOEs) Minister Erick Thohir were the top two best performing ministers. This was based on a 100-day survey of President Prabowo Subianto and his Red and White Cabinet.

Lead Researcher of Indonesian Political Indicators Burhanuddin Muhtadi explained that Sri Mulyani got first place with 11.4 percent. Whereas Erick earned 11.2 percent, for the category of well-performing ministers based on the respondents' top of mind.

“This means that we do not give any choice of answer,” Burhanuddin said in a release of the survey conducted online and witnessed from Jakarta on Monday (27/1/2025).

According to him, the results of the survey also did not suffer much difference when respondents were given a list of names of Red and White Cabinet ministers. Burhanuddin explained that Erick took first place with 14.2 percent, while Sri Mulyani was second with 13.2 percent for well-performing ministers according to respondents.

“So when we gave a list of names it didn't add significantly to the respondents' answers. That is, the assessment of the best performance was strongly influenced by the respondents' awareness of the names of ministers that are in their heads, so that when we gave a list of names, the public did not significantly decrease in relation to the names of ministers who were perceived positively,” Burhanuddin said.

Therefore, he said, surveyors tried to ask the names of individual ministers against respondents to find out popularity. As a result, Erick took first place and earned 67.8 percent, and was followed by Sri Mulyani in second place with 67.5 percent.

Nevertheless, when asked further about the satisfaction of the Red and White Cabinet's performance known to respondents, Religious Affairs Minister Nasaruddin Umar ranked first with 92.8 percent, who were satisfied with his performance. It was followed by Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya with 90.1 percent, and Sri Mulyani with 89.7 percent, as well as Erick Thohir 89.3 percent.

Indonesian Political Indicators conducted a survey in the period 16-21 January 2025. The survey population consists of all Indonesian citizens who have the right to vote in the general election, that is, aged 17 years or older, or married when the survey was conducted.
