Garut Police Station Asks Settlers to Use Alternative Lanes
Garut Police Station Requests Settlers to Use Cijapati and Kamojang Alternate Lanes.
REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, GARUT -- Garut Resort Police said that travelers from Bandung towards Garut Regency, West Java or vice versa who carry vehicles can use the alternative lanes of Cijapati and Kamojang, which are considered to be suitable for crossing vehicles, if there is a traffic jam on the national route.
“Alternate lanes in Garut such as Cijapati or Kamojang can be crossed by vehicles,” said Garut Police Traffic Unit Chief Iptu Aang Andi Suhandi in Garut on Thursday (4/4/2024).
He said that the ranks of the Garut Police Station together with the local government and other agencies have already carried out a review of the main lines that will be passed by transport vehicles such as the Limbangan-Garut national line, as well as the Kadungora-Tarogong line.
In addition, he said, a number of other routes such as the southern region of Garut, as well as other alternative paths that are usually crossed by passenger vehicles are also sure to be ready.
“But in order to pass through those alternative routes, such as Cijapati and Kamojang areas, it is ensured that the vehicles must be primed, and small cars, which large vehicles are recommended should not be allowed,” he said.
As is known, the Garut region is an area bordering Bandung that has road access not only to the main line of Nagreg, Bandung Regency, but there are also other alternative routes to enter the Garut region.
It was noted that an alternative route from Bandung direction is Cijapati that can penetrate directly into Kadungora area and then into Bandung-Garut provincial road.
Then there is an alternative route Kamojang that can penetrate to the area of Samarang Subdistrict, then continue to the main line of the southern region as well as to urban Garut.
In addition to alternative lines that connect directly with urban Garut, there are also other alternative routes from Bandung to Garut, namely the Cisewu or Talegong lines that directly connect with the southern area of Garut. However, the alternative path has winding road conditions, descents, and inclines so motorists should be careful when crossing it.
Aang said that an alternative line connecting Garut with Bandung had been prepared by a joint post and personnel to secure the line.
“For on that alternative route we have also prepared posts for security,” he said.
