REPUBLICA.CO.ID, We often hear that children are not allowed to go out in the Maghrib time. In addition, our parents also often tell us to close the door in the Maghrib time. But, do we know the reason behind it all?
It turns out that in Islam it is also destroyed for various reasons. Abdullah Hamud al-Furayah in his book, The Beautiful Gift of Explanation of the Daily Sunah-Sunnah, explains the wisdom of the recommendation to close the door and ask children to enter the house in the evening before the Maghrib i.e. first, these two things are aimed at keeping us from demons and jinns.
Keeping children from leaving the house at the beginning of the Maghrib time will keep them from the demons that roam at that time.
Also by closing the door and calling the name of Allah SWT when closing it. How many children or houses are possessed by demons at this time while the inhabitants do not realize it. Islam's great concern for our children and our homes.
This is based on the hadith of Jabir ibn Abdullah RA, the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: “If night begins to come, or evening comes to you, then hold on to your children, because Satan is wandering at that time. If a moment of night has passed, then let it be. Close the doors and say the name of God, for Satan cannot open a closed door. “(narrated by Bukhari)
In Muslim history, it is explained in a hadith, “Do not let go of your livestock and your children if the sun has set until the darkness is gone. Because demons roam if the sun has sunk until it is gone isya time.“
Imam al-Nawawi said: “The point of 'keep your children' is not to let them go out of the house at that time. He said, “The devil is wandering. “It means a kind of demon. That is, it was feared that the children of that time were affected by satanic disorders, because of their abundance at that time, wallahu a'lam.
