REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Deputy Secretary General of the Awakening Nation Party (PKB), Syaiful Huda said that his party will be the opponent of the coalition who carried the Khofifah Indar Parawansa in East Java. But he confirmed that the CLA would not field Abdul Muhaimin Iskandar as a candidate for governor in the province.
“There is no Cak Imin option going forward in the Pilgub,” Huda said at Grand Sahid Jaya Hotel, Jakarta, Thursday (2/5/2024).
The PKB itself is optimistic in the face of the local elections (local elections) of East Java, although it will run against Khofifah as a candidate for governor. Because, they are the winners of the legislative elections in the province in 2024.
“(The figure that will be carried by the PKB) can be women so that women are equally women, yes it can be men so that between men and women. Mbak khofifah women, we are male candidates for governor,” Huda said.
The CLA also opened communication with other political parties to face the East Java elections. Including with the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP), although he said there had been no such communication.
“So roughly the perspective is the same, in East Java we will build a shaft outside Mbak Khofifah,” said the Chairman of the X Commission of the Parliament.
